You Don't Have to be a Superhero...

To have superpowers!


Happy February everyone. At this time in the year we are probably all starting to feel a little ‘Winter Weary’. Tired of the dark, the rain and the cold. Overwhelmed by the busy-ness of life once more and honestly just feeling burnt out already- and the year hasn’t even begun!

 

The tiredness, the overwhelm can often lead to us feeling like no matter what we do or how hard we try we just aren’t doing enough. It can impact our self-confidence and we can just start to feel really shitty about ourselves. Trust me I’ve been there- more on that in my next blog.

So this month it’s my mission to give us all a little confidence boost!

 

And I want to start by sharing this beautiful poem from Donna Ashworth's book “I Wish I Knew”.

 I believe we all have unique superpowers that make us the amazing and sparkling individuals that we are. No need to be a superhero, bitten by a radioactive spider or sent to this earth via a spaceship, but these powers are already living within us!

 

Understanding & articulating what those superpowers are is what fuels our self-confidence and boosts us when we need it most.

This month I’m going to encourage you to name your superpowers and recognise exactly why you are just so brilliant.

 

In class we will be practicing movement that connects to our manipura chakra (solar plexus). This is the point on your body in between your belly button and your last rib.

By firing up the solar plexus we can tap into our inner confidence, our fire!


So join me this month – in person or online- for that all important self confidence boost. Because my friends, you are enough and damn, do you deserve it!!
