At Flowing Flamingo, my approach to teaching yoga is guided by a set of values that I hold dear and that shape every class and interaction. Empowerment is at the heart of what I do—I believe your yoga practice should be about choices and creating a safe space where you can take control of your own journey. It’s about listening to your body, mind, and self and finding your own path within the practice. Health and wellness should be joyful, not a chore, and I strive to connect you back to your body in ways that help you thrive.

 

Fun is also a big part of my classes because I think it’s important to remember how to play, laugh, and connect as adults. My aim is to foster a sense of community and playfulness, with classes that encourage discovery and joy. Finally, I believe in the power of self-discovery; your mat is more than just a physical space—it’s a place to explore who you are. Through movement, meditation, and sometimes even journaling, we dig deep to uncover what lights us up inside.

Rise & Shine: Wake Up with Energy and Joy

Rise & Shine is a class that starts your day with a burst of positive energy. This morning session is perfect for waking up both your body and mind, setting a bright tone for the day ahead. We begin with a gentle warm-up to ease into movement and then flow through sequences designed to build energy and lift your spirits. Don’t worry about getting dressed up—feel free to roll out of bed and join in your pyjamas, just like I often do! This is a class for everyone, and all levels are welcome, especially beginners.

 

Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, I encourage you to come as you are, ready to wake up with a smile on your face. The class is hosted on Zoom, making it easy to fit into your morning routine without missing a beat. I promise a low to medium sweat level, just enough to energise you for the day without leaving you feeling too worn out.

Flamingo Flow: Connect and Rebalance

Flamingo Flow is a slightly higher-energy class that focuses on reconnecting with your body, mind, and self. It’s a wonderful way to reset during the day or early evening, helping you rebalance as you move through your daily routine. Each month we explore a different theme, keeping things fresh and engaging, and there’s often an opportunity for journaling, adding a deeper layer to the practice.

 

This class is suitable for all levels, and I make sure to provide options that meet everyone’s needs, especially if you’re just starting out. It’s a medium sweat level class—enough to get your heart rate up but still accessible. Depending on the week, we might meet on Zoom or in person, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for your schedule and comfort.

&Relax: Unwind and Release

&Relax is all about taking a step back and giving yourself the time to unwind. This slower-paced class helps release the day’s tension and prepares your body and mind for a peaceful night’s sleep. We start with a gentle, empowering warm-up and then move through slower flows, both standing and seated, that help you let go of stress.

 

There’s always plenty of time for Savasana, and sometimes we even delve into a bit of Yoga Nidra for that extra layer of relaxation. Each week, the class theme changes, offering new ways to connect and relax. This is a great class for beginners or anyone looking to slow down and reconnect, with a focus on low-intensity movement that soothes rather than sweats. You can join us on Zoom or come in person—whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

1:1 Coaching: Tailored Yoga Just for You

If you’re looking for a more personalised yoga experience, my 1:1 coaching sessions offer just that. These private sessions are a chance to dive deeper into your practice, address specific challenges, or simply ease into yoga if you’re feeling a bit unsure. We’ll start with a complimentary ‘get to know you’ session, where we can chat about what you’re looking to achieve. From there, I’ll create a tailored program just for you, focusing on your unique needs and goals.

 

These sessions are an excellent way to build a strong foundation, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to advance your practice. Sessions can be held online or in person, depending on your location and preference, and start at £45 per session.

I offer plenty of variations and modifications in every class, so you can move at your own pace and enjoy your practice without comparing yourself to others. I understand that life can be busy, which is why I offer a variety of class formats, including online and in-person sessions. From the early morning energy boost of Rise & Shine to the calming, restorative vibes of &Relax, there’s a class to suit every schedule and mood.

 

You can join from the comfort of your home on Zoom or connect with the community in person—whatever works best for you. Flowing Flamingo is about more than just physical movement. I believe that yoga is a powerful tool for self-discovery and personal growth.

 

My classes encourage you to explore beyond the postures, tapping into meditation, breathwork, and even journaling to help you connect with your true self. You’ll leave each class not just feeling physically better but with a deeper understanding of who you are.
